My sweet, badass Queen Dajana.
I met this gal a couple of years ago and we connected instantly. She’s the type of person you can confide in and she will tell you exactly “how it is”. She’s not afraid to stand up for what she believes in and is always rooting for her team.
Dajana has stories of love, heartache, triumph and survival; and she is never afraid to share her wisdom. She is family oriented and would do anything to be there for those she loves. She has shown it time and time again how dedicated she is to the ones closest to her and I admire that so much.
At the young age of 17, Da was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She took that experience as a blessing and a lesson rather than a curse. She truly lives life to the fullest and shows others how to never take life for granted, to always “stop and smell the roses” and to enjoy each precious moment. Before I even knew about this hardship she had lived though, I saw a special spark in Dajana and noticed that she absolutely lives this way every day.
It’s my absolute pleasure to introduce to you my own Queen Dajana:

If I had one day left to live, I would most definitely spend it with my family, embracing them in my arms and making sure they know how much they are loved and and how much they mean to me in my life. How each and every single one of them moulded me into the strong woman I have become.

What inspires you to be better?
I come from the former Yugoslavia where we experienced a horrible, unnecessary war and after fleeing to Canada when I was only 6 years old, the immigrant life taught us how to survive anywhere. While I was younger, I probably took a lot more things for granted then now. Ever since I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 17 years old – my life changed for the better. I really realized that you can’t take anything for granted and you must always live life to the fullest, always being a good human being to yourself, others and mother earth. I learned to stop and smell the roses, listen when people are talking and never judge a book by its cover.

What is your favourite quote?
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
